The surft Industry Manufacturers Association (SIMA) and Board Retailers Association (BRA) are proud to announce that Surft Summit 13, composed of the surft industry´s most influential manufactures and retailers will be gathering on May 12 through 15 at the Hola Grand Plaza Luxury All Inclusive.
"By unifying the annual SIMA and BRA conferences into one event, Surft Summit will be taken to a whole new level of leadership power," said Doug Palladini, SIMA President and VP of Marketing of Vans. "With a line-up of exceptional speakers and new evening activities, Surf Summit attendees will have much to gain from the educational seminars and industry networking time. We look forward to uniting the tribe in 2010."
Scheduled speakers include Tom Kelley, General Manager of IDEO desing and development firm who will speak on innovation management in thinking, products, and processes. His presentation will detail how-to foster a culture of creativity and develop processes for continuous innovation.
Also on the roster is Bleke Mycoskie, Founder & Chief Shoe Giver, of Toms Shoes, who will share his insight on how giving not only feels good, but is good for business. Attendees will learn what it is like to operate a company where for every shoe that is purchased by customer, another shoe is donated to a child in need.
Day one will feature a manufacturers panel to field questions submitted by retailers about the state of the manufacturing business in the surft industry. On day two, a retailers panel will examine the state of surft industry and answer questions submitted by manufacturers. But it won´t be all work and no play for those who attend. The format for Surf Summit 13 will be similar to years past with surft sessions in the morning, educational seminars in the afternoon, and attendee dinner and events at night.
Some of the scheduled activities include a lucha libre night with a beachside dinner, Mexican wrestling themed games and entertaiment. On the final night, SIMA will conclude the conference with Closing Ceremonies to celebrate yet another successful gathering of the tribe.

Hola Grand Plaza Luxury All Inclusive Resort has opened the Sky Sports Bar to the public. However, the Sky Sports Bar is not included in the All Inclusive Package.
Each guest staying will receive one welcome complimentary drink coupon at check-in. Sky Sports Bar is open every ight except Tuesday from 5:00pm to 12:00 a.m.
